Where it came from

Born After Dark

CannaTeas didn’t start as a business plan. It started as a question inside Moody Teas — what if we made a version of our blends for after hours? Something recreational. Something honest about what it is.

We called it After Dark. Customers loved the concept. It grew into something that deserved its own brand, its own identity, and its own space to be exactly what it is without apology.

So we spun it out. And now we’re building it right — with the same organic sourcing, the same community-first values, and a formulation that actually works.

We use a water-soluble THC isolate — no fat carrier required, no oily mouthfeel, no aftertaste. The isolate binds to water cleanly, so the tea stays a tea.

How it works

Why water-soluble isolate changes everything

Traditional cannabis edibles and most infused beverages use fat-soluble THC — meaning they need an oil or fat carrier to deliver the compound. That’s fine for a brownie. It’s not great for tea.

Water-soluble THC isolate is processed to bind directly to water molecules. No carrier needed. The result is a consistent, predictable effect and a drink that actually tastes like what it’s supposed to taste like — not like cannabis oil floated in your cup.

We’re using isolate specifically so we can control exactly what’s in each blend. No plant material, no chlorophyll, no guesswork. Just a clean, measurable dose in a real tea.
